This policy explains what information Mercer Twain collects, how we use it, and what rights you have. We've kept it short and plain.
Mercer Twain is operated by Catalyst Holdings LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with operations in Damascus, Oregon. For privacy questions, email support@mercertwain.com.
When you create an account: your name, email address, and password (stored as an encrypted hash — we never see the actual password).
When you send mail: the recipient's name and address, your return address, and whatever content you include in the mail piece (message text, uploaded images, selected card design).
When you pay: payment information is handled directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full credit card number. We do store Stripe's customer ID and subscription ID so we can manage your account.
When you use the site: basic usage information — pages viewed, features used, approximate location (from IP address), device type, and browser type. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out tools.
When you contact us: whatever you tell us in your email or message.
We don't collect Social Security numbers, government IDs, medical information, or financial account details beyond what Stripe needs to process payment. We don't track you across other websites. We don't sell your data to advertisers.
We share information only with companies that help us run Mercer Twain:
Each of these services has their own privacy practices. We share only what's necessary for them to provide their service.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not share your information with advertisers.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us at support@mercertwain.com. We'll delete what we can and explain what we can't delete (for example, we may need to retain transaction records for tax purposes).

California residents: You have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we've collected about you in the past 12 months, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. (We don't sell personal information.) Email us to exercise these rights. We won't discriminate against you for exercising them.
EU/UK residents: You have rights under GDPR, including the rights listed above plus the right to restrict or object to processing. Our lawful basis for processing your data is either your consent (for marketing), the performance of our contract with you (for running the service), or our legitimate business interests (for fraud prevention and analytics).
Mercer Twain is not intended for children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with information, email us and we'll delete it.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information: encrypted connections (HTTPS everywhere), encrypted password storage, and access controls limiting who can see what. We rely on our service providers (Stripe, Supabase, Vercel, Resend) to maintain their own security practices.
No online service is perfectly secure. If we discover a data breach that affects you, we'll notify you as required by law.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll email active users and post a notice on the site. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
